Colleen McEvenue RMT

I am a Massage Therapist registered with the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario. I graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2005 and have been enjoying my career choice ever since.

As a young adult I started to suffer from migraine headaches and was unable to treat them with modern medicine. I began treatment with my own RMT at the age of sixteen and found it to be extremely helpful. This resulted in my own fascination with massage and thus a life path was chosen.

At school I had the opportunity to massage in several different specialty clinics. These included: a neuropathology clinic treating people with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, a breast massage clinic treating women with various conditions of breast health, and a pregnancy clinic where I was able to massage women at various stages of pregnancy.

I joined the Erin Mills Optimum Health team in the fall of 2006 and have since met many wonderful people and had a chance to see many different cases.

What is next? In the near future I plan to continue my education by taking a course in hotstone therapy and have a strong interest in reflexology treatment .
