Hot Days Cool Drinks

What a weekend it was!

I don’t know about you but I feel like we basically went from winter to summer!
 
Yesterday we took the kids on a bike ride and forgot to bring water – whoops – the wrong day to do that, especially since my husband decided to wear jeans! Ha!
 
Luckily when we got home I had hibiscus iced tea on the ready. It was tangy, tasty and very refreshing. Here’s the recipe:
Tangy Hibiscus Iced Tea
 
Ingredients:
  • Hibiscus tea bag (1-2)
  • 4-5 cups of filtered water
  • 2-3 tsp unpasteurized honey
  • 1 fresh lemon or lime juice
 
Method:
  • Boil water and pour over hibiscus tea (in a tea pot).
  • Add honey.
  • Let cool then put in the fridge and keep overnight (with bags in).
  • The next day before serving add lemon or lime juice to the pot.
  • Pour tea in glasses over ice.
  • Enjoy!
* You can also have the tea once it has cooled, but it is much tastier the longer it’s steeped.
