Top 10 FAQ’s When Patients Call Our Mississauga Wellness Office

We get calls from the Mississauga and Oakville communities often as we are an established health and wellness clinic that has been in the same location, continuously growing, since 1977.  Below are some of the most frequent questions that people ask when they call in (FAQ’s):

1. Where are you located?

Our clinic is conveniently located in the Glen Erin Medical-Dental Centre, which is one block North of Dundas on the East side of Glen Erin Drive in Mississauga.  This is towards the west end of Mississauga and just east of Oakville.

Our exact address is 3105 Glen Erin Drive, Suite 5, Mississauga, Ontario.

2. What are your clinic hours?

Our clinic is open 6 days a week with extended hours to accommodate almost any busy schedule. The hours are: Monday through Friday 7:30am – 7pm, Saturday from 9am – 12pm, and closed on Sundays and all Statutory Holidays.

3. I have extended health coverage, do you accept insurance cards?

We do not deal directly with any insurance companies. Once you have completed your appointments we will provide you with itemized statements that you will be able to submit directly to your insurance provider and be reimbursed directly.  These statements can be emailed to you or you can receive a paper copy.

4. How long have all the Doctors been in practice?

Our clinic has been open and continuously expanding since 1977. We are currently home to ten practitioners with varying years of experience. We have seasoned veterans with over 30 years of experience. We are also lucky to have some fairly recent graduates with the latest techniques for patient care.  Check out our team bios.

5. Do I need a referral from my Medical Doctor to book an appointment?

We do not require you to have a doctor’s note for any of the services that we provide here at the clinic. We do recommend that you call and check with your individual insurance company in advance if they require you to have any further documentation for coverage.

6. How much will my initial appointment cost?

The initial appointment for Chiropractic is $90. We also have the ability to do digital x-rays onsite and the cost is $100, depending on the number of films taken. Each adjustment is $45.

The initial cost for our Naturopathic Doctors is $200 for adults and $180 for children and seniors. All subsequent visits are $110 and $100 respectively. Any supplements or testing that is done by our Naturopaths are in addition to any appointment fees listed.

The initial visit with our Chiropodist is $75, which includes any routine foot care you may need. If you are interested in orthotics or shoes there is an additional charge for each. Any subsequent visits will be $50.

There is no initial fee for massage therapy. Each visit is determined by time: 30mins – $70, 45mins – $90, 60mins – $100, and 90mins – $140.

These were the prices as of 2018, expect the prices to raise over time as expenses increase along with inflation.   Contact the office for up to date costs.

7. How long will be initial appointment take?

Depending on which practitioner you are coming in to see your initial appointment time will very.  Initial Chiropractic appointments take approximately 30-45 minutes, Chiropody visits are 45-60 minutes, and Naturopathic appointments are between 60-90 minutes in length.

8. Do I need to bring anything to my appointments?

You do not need to bring anything specific to any of the initial appointments, although if you have reports regarding your health history it will be useful for the doctors to asses how to best approach your care. We require all of our patients to complete service specific intake forms before any treatment. These will allow our practitioner to better assess and help you with any and all of your chief concerns.

9. Are any of your services covered by OHIP?

Erin Mills Optimum Health is a private health clinic, which means that none of our services are covered under OHIP. Although there is no provincial coverage most extended health insurance plans do cover (or partially cover) all of our services.

10. Do you have parking on site?

Being located in the Glen Erin Medical-Dental Centre allows us to offer ample free parking on site for all of our patients.
